Florence was my grandmother, however, everyone called her Honey.

It's a name that you don't hear a lot in today's day and age, which speaks to the uniqueness of each piece added to the collection.

Family is a huge part of how this business began and why it continues to grow, so paying homage to my grandmother and her beautiful name made a lot of sense.

Plus, the majority of the pieces at FLORENCE'S COLLECTION were manufactured at the time that she was alive, which is a time I like to reminisce.

You must pick up your order within one week of your purchase date.

After placing your order and selecting local pick up at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for you on the next available pick up day. We will send you an email when your order is ready along with instructions.

Our in-store pickup hours are Tuesdays and Wednesdays 2:00 PM-6:00 PM.

If you cannot arrange to pick up your order within our necessary timeframe, please see our local delivery rates. With little storage, we need to make room for new pieces on a daily basis and cannot hold onto items.

FLORENCE'S COLLECTION lives in a beautiful and very on brand pink and blue historic house built in the late 1800's, which survived the Halifax Explosion.

Our HQ is located at 2055 North Park Street, across from Canada's oldest urban park, the Halifax Commons.

Our in-store pickup hours are Tuesdays and Wednesdays 2:00 PM-6:00 PM.

Our shipping rates are carrier calculated and based on the size and weight of the piece that you are purchasing.

The pieces in our collection vary in size and weight and we cannot offer a flat rate shipping price at this time.

Just add the piece(s) you have your eye on to your cart and head to the checkout to review your shipping rates!

With the nature of buying vintage, we are selling pieces that were manufactured 20+ years ago. This means we can't always determine the life they had before landing in our hands.

Research and discovery helps us understand the age, rarity, and condition of each individual piece so that we can align our pricing with it's worth.

So, while we can't do returns, we promise to give you all of the information you need before you purchase to ensure that you're getting the piece of your dreams.

The short answer is: everywhere.

I primarily source throughout Nova Scotia and throughout other maritime provinces at estate sales, auctions, and thrift stores.

My favourite local thrift store? Hand In Hand on Herring Cove Road. The prices are great, the selection is big, and the people are kind.

On April 28, 2019, @florencescollection was born. After a year of selling on Instagram, hosting pop-ups, and vending markets, I made the decision to open my first shop at 2055 North Park Street.

While it was a little delayed in opening due to the global pandemic, we celebrated our grand opening on July 11, 2020.

A lot can change over the course of a year–especially during a global pandemic no one could have ever predicted. After seven months open, I made the decision to close the storefront and transition to an all-online space. Where I can reach more people like you.
